HGV Driver Training

The government has launched its fully funded Skills Bootcamps to address the urgent need for more lorry drivers. The initiative will see a £34 million investment to train new drivers and help existing lorry drivers who have left the industry get back on the road. The pandemic has changed the perception of lorry drivers and highlighted the impact drivers have on our daily lives. Appreciation for the good work drivers do is growing and pay and working conditions have improved significantly recently.

Green Pass Training are running fully funded HGV Driver Bootcamps in the Lancashire region for CAT B (car) licence holders to gain their HGV entitlement.

Green Pass Training offers different ways to obtain an HGV licence. Our courses are open to adults 19 years of age and older.

All courses are free, including the cost of tests and medical examinations, and last approximately 16 weeks.

Green Pass Training can help employers hire and train HGV drivers through these Skills Boot Camps. Employers who choose to hire new employees who attend one of our Skills Bootcamps can do so at no cost. A small fee is charged for upskilling existing employees.
